MEDITATION FOR NEW BEGINNINGS
It is difficult to live ordinary lives in today's busy world and still sanctify our existence. The ten days between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur is an opportune time to pause for self-reflection and personal transformation, a time for new beginnings. Please join me as we engage in a variety of Jewish meditation techniques that encourage mindful approaches to experiencing an inner life. This workshop is open to participants of all faiths.

FIRST AID FUNDAMENTALS
This workshop is an interactive overview of how to respond to common first aid emergencies. Topics covered will include how to recognize and deal with sprains and strains, fainting and seizures, falls, cuts, choking, and how to administer basic CPR. A course book and certification card will be available.

VEDIC CHANTING *
Vedic chanting is energizing, centering and calming. It requires precise measure and cadence, correct enunciation, grammatical formation and modulation of sound and breath. In fact, Vedic chanting is in itself a complete mode of pranayama. These workshops will introduce the basic principles of chanting, and teach exercises on how to produce the Sanskrit sounds. Navtej will then lead the group through guided chanting of selected chants from the Vedas and/or the Upanishads.

ASANA TO MEDITATION *
This workshop will touch upon the three primary tools of yoga: asana, pranayama and meditation. Using asana as a preparation to meditation, the session will align, energize and reassemble the body. Special attention will be paid to the treatment and the technique of breathing. The meditation segment will include visualization, sound, mantra, imagery, and gesture as tools for generating mindfulness.

Explore asana and pranayama techniques that can assist you with the challenges of insomnia. There will be time to discuss and record the practices. This workshop is appropriate for students and teachers at all levels.

INTRODUCTION TO SHIATSU *
Experience deep relaxation and improve your overall health with Sangha shiatsu. We will begin with partner assisted meridian stretches, followed by several standing exercises as a way to nurture and strengthen our own Ki (vital energy). We will also experience sitting down partner exercises to help us feel how Ki changes as the partner's state of Heart changes through imagery. Suitable for everyone.

EARTHLY TREASURES QIGONG *

Learn how you can gather energy from the earth to replenish your own vital Qi. Simple exercises and meditations are used and are suitable to all levels of fitness. No prior experience is necessary.

INTRODUCTION TO THE VINIYOGA APPROACH
This workshop will demonstrate some underlying principles of practice, like function over form in asana, the science of sequencing, breath as a core principle within movement, chanting as breath practice and breath as preparation for meditation.

Releasing the hip joints helps improve mobility, stamina, gait, digestion, and lower-back alignment. In this workshop, we will stretch and strengthen our hips with an eye to the role hips play in the ease of the overall structure.

INTRODUCTION TO THE BANDHAS *

Bandhas stabilize, support, and regulate energy. In this workshop, we will review the theoretical underpinnings of the bandhas and then test out the theory through some traditional poses and breathing patterns.
